All About Tech Gramma (scroll down for the About Julie part!)
I’m so happy you’re here to read all about Tech Gramma!
I’ve geared Tech Gramma to the over 50 crowd (my crowd) as a way to fine-tune and help that demographic with what they need to know about technology. However, anyone and everyone is welcome to come and learn all they can.

From beginning word processing to advanced database creation and everything in between, I plan to make Tech Gramma be THE place you can come and find out what you need to know. If you’re trying to figure something out and don’t find instructions here, email me and I will work to figure it out for you!
The Tech Gramma blog is lovingly created out of my passion for technology and my understanding of the need for simple technology tutorials for those who didn’t grow up with a tablet or smart phone in their hands.
And here’s a little bit about me:
I’ll address the gramma part first (because that’s my proudest!). I am Gramma to the sweetest, brightest, cutest granddaughter in the WHOLE world.
She is my buddy! I’ve introduced her to technology early on, and we love to play games together on our iPad. She also loves to watch ‘bideos’ on my phone, so I keep the YouTube Kids app on my home screen for her.
Don’t worry, though! She’s an active little girl who loves to play soccer and loves to help fold laundry and do dishes (hope that lasts!). Even the Tech Gramma knows that a well-rounded granddaughter is best!
My Sweet Granddaughter
Why I’m qualified to teach tech to you:
For over 30 years, I’ve been a public school teacher. I taught English for 10 of those years and have taught computer software and computer maintenance and repair for the rest of those years.
Along with my day job as teacher, I’ve worked help desk for a local internet company and have created and taught technology classes for my community, most specifically for seniors and those relatively new to tech.
Here’s what I do for my day job. Love it!
Along with my lifetime teaching certifications and graduate degrees in education, I hold certificates in Microsoft Office (in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and am currently working on various Google certifications. One thing I’ve learned with technology – it’s always changing and it’s necessary to keep up in order to most effectively put it to work for me (and same for you…so let me teach you!).
About 8 years ago, I created my faith blog, Loving Chris Ministries. Through those years, I learned the ins and outs of creating a blog, designing and making images for every aspect, building my list, using social media and my email list to increase page views, and a million other blog related tricks, tips, and tasks.
I also built my side-hustle faith blog to a full time income by selling printables and other digital products. Due to that success, I began helping others create and sell their own printables. It has been a fantastic journey, and I’m excited to share what I’ve learned with you!
